The 2015 vintage was marked by considerable climatic variations. It started with a particularly cold spring, and continued with a period of heat and drought that lasted until the end of August. The harvest, which began on 7 September under a bright sun, benefited from the impeccable state of health of the vines, which gave grapes of exceptional generosity and balance. This millesimal promises a remarkable aromatic richness, capturing the unique essence of the 2015 vintage.

For this homage to Jean-Michel Basquiat and his works, Dom Pérignon has chosen a masterpiece as significant as it is enigmatic by the New York artist: "In Italian" (1983). In Basquiat’s work, as in Dom Pérignon’s vision, assembly is a key element to live an intense aesthetic experience. This would not be possible without the utmost attention to the material, because both the narrative material, at the origin of the story that you want to tell, is the raw material necessary to express it, with all its organoleptic and aesthetic characteristics, are decisive for the character of the final work. A collage of art and craftsmanship, which make this Dom Prignon Special Edition Champagne a unique experience.

CHARACTERISTICS

It has a straw yellow color with golden reflections and an intense perlage.

The nose is appreciated pleasant floral nuances accompanied by delicate fruity notes of apricot, plum and mirabella .

Precise and elegant. Aromas of ginger, tobacco and toast enhance the experience to the palate leading to a rich and persistent finish.
